Ariel Fielding went to a free elementary school based on A.S. Neill's Summerhill—ALPHA Alternative in Toronto, Canada, where the public system boasts 19 alternative schools from K-8, and 22 alternative high schools. She created a documentary project interviewing graduates, teachers, and core staff members from free schools in Canada with photographer Michael Barker (notesfromthefield.ca).
Dr. Kevin Currie-Knight is a Teaching Associate Professor in East Carolina University's College of Education, and is serving on President of Pathfinder’s Board of Directors. He is currently involved in a research study with Dr. Peter Gray interviewing adult alumni of Hudson Valley School about how their experiences shaped their lives.
